Emotional Energy Healing
(Formalized April 2004)

July 2007 note: Although this type of healing often crops up in my work with individuals, there has been a shift to less dramatic vocalizations. Except for that change, the information here may be of interest is you schedule a session with me.

Background

Every person has an energy body, which includes such elements as the aura, chakras, and meridians. Most of us hold within our energy bodies blockages or imbalances in the free flow of subtle energy that provides vitality to all that exists in the universe. Various names have been given to this subtle energy: qi or chi (China), ki (Japan), prana (India and Tibet), yesod (Jewish cabalistic tradition), baraka (Sufis). Blockages or imbalances may arise from personal experiences or negative thought patterns, experiences of immediate family members or ancestors, and as a karmic expression of incarnational experiences. We can enhance our physical and emotional health by releasing the emotion related to negative experience held within our energy bodies.

Emotional Energy Healing

Many excellent energy healing methods, such as Polarity Therapy, Reiki, and EMF Balancing, are available for balancing and strengthening the human energy field (HEF). With the guidance from the Light Brother&Sisterhood (LB&S), I have developed a distinctive energy healing method that focuses on the emotional aspects of the HEF. In a session I relinquish conscious control of my body so that my LB&S Energy Channeling Team can use it to physically and vocally express aspects of a person's energy body that would benefit from release, balancing or strengthening.

I never know what exactly is going to happen in a session, but the body movements and vocalizations that occur suggest that it can be a powerful process. Visually, people have described my body movements as looking at times like sacred or shamanic dance. At other times my body and face will go into grotesque contortions, and I sometimes feel like I am physically acting out experiences embedded in the HEF. One person said she felt that her life was being expressed on an operatic stage. My body movements are often accompanied by a wide range of vocalizations that give voice to such emotions as anger, fear, grief and pain.

At times what happens may seem scary, but I can assure you that this work takes place in the safety of a balanced vortex of conscious energy that is supported by the LB&S, the Deva of Human Healing and Pan representing the elemental kingdom and our Higher Selves. You may feel like you are being taken to near the edge of your comfort zone, but I promise you will not be taken beyond it. Also please be assured that even if I should appear to be suffering during the process, no harm will come to me. I may also be taken to the edge of my comfort zone, but I have never been taken beyond it. In fact my experience has been that I feel wonderful at the end of even the most intense session.

Who Does the Healing? We are each responsible for our own healing, the "healer" simply functions as the facilitator or catalyst which provides the person desiring healing to heal themselves. When I work with individuals I connect with that person's HEF in a way that may result in vocal expression of emotion or acting out of personal, familial or incarnational experiences (in which case I verbalize any information I receive) that exist as imbalances or blockages. The person I am working with often experiences mental images that provide additional insight into what I am expressing vocally or physically. The blockages will be released or imbalances brought into greater balance if the person I am working with chooses this to happen. The intention for healing is an essential part of the process. I may vocally or physically act out, or verbally describe dramatic emotions or experiences, but there is no actual release unless the person I am working with chooses for a release to occur.

Participating in a Session Before beginning the active part of the session I encourage you to identify and verbalize any emotional issues you would particularly like to address, and I will answer any remaining questions you might have. I begin the active session by a brief ritual to set the intention for healing and create a sacred space. The active part of a session typically has three phases: (1) physical and/or vocal expression of a variety of emotions and experiences--personal, familial/ancestral, or incarnational--that are held within your energy field or the energy field of individuals with whom you have a close connection, (2) an offering of energy (it may have special qualities such as for empowerment, love, etc.) for you to use as you wish, (3) melodic toning for balancing and strengthening your overall energy field.

During the active part of a session I will describe any perceptions I have of what is happening, and I appreciate hearing any images or thoughts that come to your mind. The first phase will have distinct segments, and I encourage you, if you feel ready, to verbally express the desire to release the pattern that is being expressed. You can further reinforce the letting go by saying that you release the emotion and replace it with a positive emotion (i.e., "I release this anger and replace it with love"). If I perceive that I am acting out a personal, familial or incarnational experience, after I describe it, again you can reinforce your intention by saying something like "I release this experience and replace it with love/acceptance/forgiveness (whatever positive emotion seems appropriate)." Finally, when I indicate that I am offering energy, I encourage you to verbally accept the offer, saying "I accept this energy of power/love..."

After a session you will have the opportunity to share any of your perceptions of what happened during the session (which provide me with valuable feedback in my own evolving understanding of the work), and I will share any additional perceptions I have.
